Job summary

Martinrea is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance functions across plants, drive PM programs, and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime. The role requires hands-on leadership and strong technical problem-solving in welding and stamping environments.

Ideal candidates will have extensive maintenance experience, a managerial background, and familiarity with OHSA regulations, with the ability to train staff and uphold safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of maintenance experience in industry.
  • 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in welding or stamping facilities.
  • Familiar with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance related functions.
  • PM program/schedule to ensure machine robustness and coordinate production needs.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained to avoid interruptions and downtime.
  • Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct problems.
  • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance records and coordinate with outside contractors.

Reports to: VP of Supply Chain
Job Description
  • Oversee maintenance related functions
  • PM program/schedule that ensures machine robustness along with the coordination of production schedule needs
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime
  • Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems
  • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime
  • Maintain maintenance related records
  • Coordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades cost
  • Maintains clear written records
  • Creates and ensures a safe and secure work environment
  • Ability to provide hands on training
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems, HR policies and Martinrea Employee Handbook
Work Environment
  • Both office setting and production environment
  • Will require travel to plants for implementation/troubleshooting
Required Education And Experience
  • College courses in Maintenance related discipline; Millwright or Electrical certificate of qualification is preferred
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years' experience in Maintenance position in industry
  • 3 years at manager level
  • Must have experience in welding/ stamping facility
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • High level of time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
