Job summary

Martinrea is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance functions across plants in the United States. The role requires coordinating PM programs, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime, and leading a maintenance team while maintaining thorough records.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in maintenance, 3 years in management, and experience in welding/stamping facilities, with strong problem-solving and OSHA knowledge. Travel to plants is required.

Qualifications

  • College courses in maintenance-related discipline; Millwright or Electrical certificate preferred.
  • 8–10 years of maintenance experience in industry.
  • 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in welding/stamping facilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance related functions.
  • PM program/schedule that ensures machine robustness and coordinates production needs.
  • Ensure equipment/tools are maintained to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems.
  • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain maintenance related records.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors on repairs and cost-effective upgrades.
  • Maintain clear written records.
  • Create and ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Provide hands-on training as needed.
  • Abide by company policies including Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems, HR policies and Employee Handbook.

Job Description
  • Oversee maintenance related functions

  • PM program/schedule that ensures machine robustness along with the coordination of production schedule needs

  • Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime

  • Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems

  • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime

  • Maintain maintenance related records
  • Coordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades cost
  • Maintains clear written records
  • Creates and ensures a safe and secure work environment
  • Ability to provide hands on training
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems, HR policies and Martinrea Employee Handbook
Work Environment
  • Both office setting and production environment
  • Will require travel to plants for implementation/troubleshooting
Required Education and Experience
  • College courses in Maintenance related discipline; Millwright or Electrical certificate of qualification is preferred
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years' experience in Maintenance position in industry
  • 3 years at manager level
  • Must have experience in welding/ stamping facility
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • High level of time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
