Job summary

Martinrea is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assure long-term capability and expedient repair of all building equipment, tooling and Machinery. You will perform maintenance on CNC machinery and contribute to a preventative maintenance program.

You will document work and report to management, interact with the management team professionally, and adhere to ISO standards, health and safety policies, and company handbook. Work in a factory environment with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication (oral and written).
• Knowledge in computer software for Windows.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Critical thinker with attention to details and problem solving.
• Fanuc Robotics knowledge preferred.
• Electrical knowledge preferred.
• Interact professionally with Management to enhance performance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Successful completion of Martinrea Orientation Program.

Responsibilities

• Assures long-term capability and expedient repair of all building equipment, tooling and machinery.
• Able to perform maintenance on CNC machinery.
• Develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance program for all production and support equipment.
• Document completion of Preventative Maintenance and provide written reports to management.
• Respond and correct all equipment problems affecting quality, scheduling or cost.
• Maintain a list of perishable tooling required for production and support equipment.
• Track perishable tooling inventory and order materials as needed.
• Contribute to safety, production, quality and scheduling improvements.
• Assist in installation of production and support equipment.
• Follow ISO standards and company policies including Health and Safety and HR rules.

Required Education and Experience:

Essential Functions:

Assures long-term capability and expedient repair of all building equipment, tooling and machinery

Able to perform maintenance on CNC Machinery

Developing and implementing a Preventative Maintenance program for all production and support equipment

Documenting completion of Preventative Maintenance work and providing written reports to management

Immediately responding and correcting all equipment problems that are adversely affecting quality, scheduling or cost

Developing and maintaining a list of perishable tooling that is required for all production and support equipment

Tracking perishable tooling inventory and initiating ordering additional material when appropriate

Continuous improvement with regards to safety, production, quality and scheduling

Assisting in the installation of production and support equipment

Consistently following ISO standards

Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook

Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Understand and be compliant with all State and Provincial laws as it relates to Harassment and Violence in the workplace.
