Job Summary:
The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for the planning, leadership, and cost-effective management of maintenance, facilities, and engineering functions. This includes preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, safety compliance, capital projects, and oversight of mechanical teams and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead maintenance operations across plant facilities, machinery, and infrastructure.
-Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
-Oversee energy management, capital budgets, and equipment procurement.
-Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
-Supervise internal maintenance staff and external contractors.
-Support major equipment installations and facility upgrades.
-Manage inspections, repairs, and parts inventory for critical equipment.
-Partner with engineering and operations to drive reliability, quality, and productivity improvements.
-Develop SOPs and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
-Track and report performance metrics, budgets, and project updates.
-Support Melt Manager and engineering teams with planning, reliability, and process optimization.
-Enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational best practices.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma required
- Trade school and/or relevant experience
- 6+ years of increasing responsibilities including supervisory experience within an industrial manufacturing organization.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
- Strong leadership skills; demonstrated competency in the supervisory and technical skills required to fulfill the position"s responsibilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime as required; ability and willingness to participate in management coverage on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to operate independently and use time efficiently/effectively.
- Knowledge of TIG welding copper, stainless and mild steels.
- Knowledge of MIG welding.
- Experience and competence to plan and supervise projects and assignments from conception to completion.
- Heavy rigging, piping, and mechanical assembly experience.
