Job summary

Freudenberg is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Manager at our Macon, GA facility to lead the maintenance team and ensure safe, reliable operations. You will oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate capital projects, monitor equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement to boost plant performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering, 5–8 years in maintenance/production, and 2+ years in leadership. This is an on-site role at our Georgia facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5-8 years of maintenance engineering or production operations in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a leadership role with direct reports.
• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical/instrumentation/automation aspects.
• Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Experience with rotating equipment and PLCs preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the maintenance team, setting priorities and coordinating activities to support safe, efficient operations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and the upkeep of production equipment, facilities, and utilities.
• Support capital projects and maintenance planning by coordinating resources, contractors, tools, and technical requirements.
• Monitor maintenance performance, analyze equipment reliability, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent working experience.
• 5-8 years of maintenance engineering or production operations within a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years in a leadership position with direct reports.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and basic engineering aspects of production equipment. Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Preferred: experience with rotating equipment and PLCs.
