Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Baldwin Park, CA, seeks an experienced Maintenance Leader to oversee the operation and reliability of facility equipment and building systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting and critical environments.

You will lead maintenance technicians, coordinate with planning and outside vendors, and drive improvements to uptime, safety, and cost effectiveness while ensuring OSHA and company safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• 7+ years in injection molding manufacturing, maintenance, or technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, resins, automation.
• Experience troubleshooting molding equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Preventative maintenance methods and ERP work orders (SAP PM).

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and continuous operation of equipment and building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, generators, primary switch gear), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, and digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access).

• Inspects and evaluates facilities infrastructure and utility systems for liabilities related to equipment age/condition, operating cost or potential failure. Prioritizes recommendations for facility upgrades and prepares justifications for resources to be included in the capital or operating budgets.

• Partner with plant leadership on equipment performance

• Works with planning to schedule routine and preventative maintenance based on production requirements to minimize production disruptions, equipment failure, downtime, and correct any unsafe conditions.

• Maintains all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the buildings including up-to-date building drawings and specifications, etc.

• Lead and develop Maintenance Technicians, and indirect technical teams

• Accomplishes work through a combination of self-performance and contract management with outside vendors to obtain needed goods, services, and repairs that are reliable and cost-effective.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, process efficiency, scrap reduction, and reliability

• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvement initiatives

• Ensures facility HSE compliance with Federal, State and Local laws – including implementation of Freudenberg Safety Standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, preferred

• 3 years, minimum, management or supervisory experience.

• 7+ years of experience in injection molding manufacturing, maintenance, processing, or technical leadership

• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, resins, automation, and auxiliary equipment

• Experience troubleshooting molding equipment, maintenance systems, and process issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Preventative maintenance methods and tactics and issuance of work orders and reporting within an ERP system such as SAP PM Module.

• Proven ability to lead and influence maintenance and technical teams across multiple departments

• Adequate knowledge of OSHA regulations to implement and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and ways of operating

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
