Job summary

Freudenberg Medical LLC is seeking an experienced maintenance leader to oversee the continuous operation of critical equipment and building systems across a fast-paced injection molding facility. You will lead maintenance teams, coordinate with plant leadership, and drive uptime and reliability while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 7+ years in the field, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, and hands-on experience with SAP PM and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; 3+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in injection molding manufacturing, maintenance, processing, or technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, resins, automation, and auxiliary equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting molding equipment, maintenance systems, and process issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Preventative maintenance methods and tactics and issuance of work orders and reporting within an ERP system such as SAP PM Module.
• Proven ability to lead and influence maintenance and technical teams across multiple departments.
• Adequate knowledge of OSHA regulations to implement and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and ways of operating.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and continuous operation of equipment and building systems including fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, controls, electrical, lighting, UPS, generators, and digital systems.
• Inspect facilities infrastructure and utility systems for liabilities related to age, cost, or potential failure.
• Prioritize recommendations for facility upgrades and prepare justifications for resources to be included in budgets.
• Partner with plant leadership on equipment performance.
• Schedule routine and preventative maintenance to minimize production disruptions and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain infrastructure and compliance documentation including up-to-date drawings and specifications.
• Lead and develop Maintenance Technicians and indirect technical teams.
• Manage work through self-performance and contracts with outside vendors for reliable, cost-effective services.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, process efficiency, scrap reduction, and reliability.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure facility HSE compliance with federal, state, and local laws and Freudenberg Safety Standards.

• Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and continuous operation of equipment and building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, generators, primary switch gear), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, and digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access).
• Inspects and evaluates facilities infrastructure and utility systems for liabilities related to equipment age/condition, operating cost or potential failure.
• Prioritizes recommendations for facility upgrades and prepares justifications for resources to be included in the capital or operating budgets.
• Partner with plant leadership on equipment performance.
• Works with planning to schedule routine and preventative maintenance based on production requirements to minimize production disruptions, equipment failure, downtime, and correct any unsafe conditions.
• Maintains all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the buildings including up-to-date building drawings and specifications, etc.
• Lead and develop Maintenance Technicians, and indirect technical teams.
• Accomplishes work through a combination of self-performance and contract management with outside vendors to obtain needed goods, services, and repairs that are reliable and cost-effective.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, process efficiency, scrap reduction, and reliability.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvement initiatives.

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
