Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking a Production Maintenance Manager to lead the site’s maintenance function, driving reliability and plant performance. The role manages preventive and corrective maintenance, coaches team members, and supports facility and equipment improvements with a focus on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years in maintenance or production operations, 2+ years in leadership, and strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and automation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years in maintenance engineering or production operations in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a leadership role with direct reports.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation and basic production equipment.
• Preferred: rotating equipment and PLCs experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance team, setting priorities and coordinating activities to support safe, efficient operations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and upkeep of production equipment, facilities and utilities.
• Support capital projects and maintenance planning by coordinating resources, contractors, tools and technical requirements.
• Monitor maintenance performance, analyze equipment reliability, and ensure safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and plant performance.

The Production Maintenance Manager leads the site's maintenance function, driving equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and plant performance. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, develops and coaches maintenance team members, manages maintenance priorities and resources, and supports facility and equipment improvement projects. Success in this position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and the upkeep of production equipment, facilities, and utilities.

• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and basic engineering aspects of production equipment. Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Preferred: experience with rotating equiptment and PLCs.
