Job summary

Lakeside Recruiting Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to lead direct plant maintenance. You will set goals, supervise staff, and ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met on the production schedule.

You will plan maintenance programs, oversee facility modifications, manage budgets, and mentor supervisors. A track record in manufacturing with 5-7+ years of leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of management experience in maintenance/operations
• Must have previous manufacturing industry experience

Responsibilities

• Direct and plan maintenance operations to maximize equipment uptime and production
• Oversee planning related to modification of existing plant facilities or installation of new plant facilities including all requirements, costs, specifications, timetables
• Develop a maintenance program including preventive and predictive maintenance
• Assess quality of repairs and diagnosis of equipment problems
• Maintain supervision guidance on maintenance methods
• Evaluate work performance and counsel supervisors
• Oversee development and operation of maintenance data systems, delay reporting, inventory control, equipment history, and maintenance cost tracking
• Prepare budget for engineering projects and maintenance operation and administer budget

Job description

Direct plant Maintenance operations by setting goals and objectives, selecting and developing supervisory staff and maintaining a productive work environment in order to meet plant objectives and established production schedules. Ensure all safety, quality, and productivity processes and procedures are followed within areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Direct and plan maintenance operations to maximize equipment uptime and production.
• Oversee planning related to modification of existing plant facilities or installation of new plant facilities including all requirements, costs, specifications, timetables, etc..
• Develop an effective machinery maintenance program, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Assess quality of repairs, diagnosis of equipment problems, and ensure adequate supplies of materials and/or parts required to complete repairs.
• Maintain close observation over maintenance operations, providing guidance concerning proper maintenance methods.
• Evaluate work performance and counsel and coach supervisors to maintain efficient work performance.
• Oversee the development and operation of maintenance data systems, delay reporting, inventory control, equipment history, and maintenance cost tracking.
• Prepare budget for engineering projects and maintenance operation and administer and control budget during the business year.

Qualifications
