Job description

A growing industrial manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead plant maintenance operations and support facility reliability initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring production equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, technical knowledge of industrial equipment, and a proven track record of improving reliability and maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the plant maintenance team, including technicians and planning resources
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability
  • Ensure facility compliance with OSHA safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Manage facility systems, production equipment, and plant infrastructure
  • Support and lead continuous improvement and maintenance reliability initiatives
  • Develop and prioritize capital improvement projects for equipment and facility upgrades
  • Manage annual maintenance and capital project budgets
  • Oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers for facility projects and repairs
  • Maintain accurate documentation including equipment records, drawings, and spare parts inventory
  • Partner with plant leadership to support production goals, safety initiatives, and operational improvements
  • Participate in plant leadership meetings and provide visible support on the production floor
  • Assist with hiring, training, and development of maintenance personnel
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including:
  • PLC systems
  • Drives and power distribution
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and reliability systems
  • Knowledge of project management and capital project execution
  • Experience working with maintenance management systems and engineering tools
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams and drive safety-focused operational improvements

This role operates within an industrial manufacturing facility and may involve time on the production floor supporting maintenance activities, equipment troubleshooting, and facility operations.
