Every detail—from lighting to finishes—reflects the highest standards, and we’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Building Maintenance Manager to help us maintain this exceptional environment.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and reliable Building Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations of our high-end, 15,000+ square foot office building. This position offers significant autonomy and decision-making authority for the right candidate who takes initiative, anticipates problems before they arise, and takes pride in delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and perform maintenance and repair work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, AV infrastructure, and general facilities
Maintain all building systems to ensure they meet or exceed museum-quality standards
Conduct regular inspections to detect, diagnose, and proactively resolve maintenance issues
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized services and ensure all work meets firm standards
Maintain supply inventories and manage maintenance budgets efficiently
Provide fast and professional response to building-related issues for attorneys and staff
Ensure compliance with safety and building codes
Report directly to the Dallas Office Administrator and Firm leadership
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or high-end residential building maintenance
Certification or license in at least one skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general contracting, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of building systems including automation (Control4/Lutron/Sonos a plus)
Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive mindset—fixing issues before they break
Ability to work independently and manage tasks without daily oversight
Excellent organizational and communication skills
High level of discretion and professionalism; ability to work around VIP guests and attorneys
