A leading company in senior living is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities. The role involves managing staff, coordinating repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Manages associates responsible for general operating maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds to ensure proper care of the community(s) in accordance with current standards, regulations, and company policies.
Supervises community maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Directs workers engaged in the maintenance and upkeep of the interior and exterior of the community, inspecting completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
Oversees scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler systems, generators, landscaping, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cords.
Coordinates maintenance requests from residents, including repairs to plumbing, electrical systems, heating, and lighting.
Supervises repairs and maintenance of buildings, including vacated rooms, painting, and carpet cleaning.
Ensures proper maintenance of walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
Maintains positive communication with local authorities such as fire marshals, building inspectors, and elevator inspectors.
Assesses plumbing and electrical issues and determines appropriate corrective actions within legal and safety standards.
Reviews safety data sheets (SDS) for hazardous chemicals and takes necessary precautions.
Assesses property damage and files claims according to company policy.
Responds to resident or community emergencies as needed.

Salary range: $21.43 - $26.79 per hour, based on experience. Role is eligible for team-based bonuses. Temporary associates may participate in the 401(k) program but are not benefits-eligible.
