Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring indoor/outdoor spaces meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and oversee make-ready turnover for leasing by scheduling vendors and inspecting tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining grounds and amenities, supervising contractor work, and upholding Greystar’s high standards of service. A valid driver’s license and EPA certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or building maintenance.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in resident-facing systems per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Set cleanliness/appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, units, and common areas to match Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Conduct monthly preventive maintenance per Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Assist in developing budgets for repairs and capital projects and participate in cost-control programs.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and MSDS requirements.
• Provide courteous, responsive customer service to residents and staff.
