Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure apartments, grounds, and amenities meet high cleanliness, safety, and usability standards. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and manage make-readies for new leases, while upholding Greystar quality across the community.

The role requires HVAC knowledge, tool proficiency, and strong customer-service skills to interact with residents and teams. A valid license and MSDS/OSHA awareness support compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or building maintenance.
• Knowledge and safe use of hand tools, power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a support capacity.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Responds to resident service requests and performs routine maintenance per policies and safety standards.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Sets standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Inspets work of team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and orders supplies within budget guidelines.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance per Manual.
• Assists in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Conducts safety meetings and keeps OSHA and related regulations up to date.
