Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed in Portland, Oregon seeks a Maintenance Leader to direct preventative and reactive maintenance programs, drive efficiency, and manage capital projects. You will supervise Maintenance Reliability Engineers, Supervisors, and Planners while ensuring safety compliance and effective problem solving across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Requirements include a technical degree and 5+ years in industrial manufacturing; SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial manufacturing or equivalent experience.
• SAP experience, preferred.
• Maintenance management experience with knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong problem-solving ability with minimal supervision; strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Supervisory experience, preferred; proven ability to lead teams, drive motivation, and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs to optimize production efficiency while minimizing maintenance costs.
• Conduct planning, scheduling, & budgeting maintenance activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and life cycle analysis on the maintenance of equipment.
• Prepare and submit internal and external reports according to local and department requirements, including capital appropriations, maintenance spending, and capital spending reports.
• Utilize Six Sigma tools to develop applicable projects for the plant.
• Be an active participant in the plant’s safety programs and Incident & near miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
