Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA seeks a Maintenance Department Leader to guide and develop a team of Team Leaders and Associates in a fast-paced bakery environment. You will manage budgets, drive reliability, quality and safety, and partner with bakery leadership to execute the Operations Excellence Playbook.

The role requires hands-on maintenance management experience, engineering qualifications, and lean tools expertise, with extensive collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of hands-on management experience in maintenance.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• HS Diploma/GED required.
• A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
• AIB certification preferred.
• Operational background in electrical circuitry, refrigeration, fuel-burning equipment, and machine mechanics.
• Possess PLC programming knowledge; PLC programming proficiency preferred.
• Lean tools or a similar statistical process and control system familiarity.

• Oversee the maintenance department budgets and financial health.
• Lead the growth and development of Team Leaders and Associates.
• Build a culture that values people and integrity.
• Identify and implement profit-driving strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Coach Team Leaders to achieve world-class standards.
• Support production to schedule and shipments.
• Drive KPI delivery across People, Asset Reliability, Quality, Safety, Service and Cost.
• Develop and mentor talent through onboarding, training and feedback.
