Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in manufacturing operations, overseeing installation, upkeep, and repair of equipment, facilities and grounds. You will hire, coach, and assess 7–15 staff, enforce safety programs, and drive reliability initiatives.

This role partners with operations and engineering to plan preventive maintenance, manage parts and purchasing, and implement continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma methods. Travel approx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1–3 years leadership in manufacturing maintenance
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a skilled maintenance team to support operations, facilities and grounds.
• Coach and evaluate maintenance staff; deliver performance reviews and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Promote safety and ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
• Plan, organize and schedule work; manage preventive maintenance and repairs to high quality standards.
• Lead meetings and communicate maintenance activities with operations supervisors.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to resolve facility and equipment problems; procure parts and resources.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions; cross-train staff; monitor metrics and resources.
