Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. seeks a proven operations leader to guide Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Scheduling and Quality across a 24/5 environment. You will organize and drive high-performance teams, optimize throughput, and maintain safety and quality standards while coordinating cross‑functional priorities.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, lean principles, and strong communication with Sales, R&D, and Materials to meet customer needs and business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Management or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in leadership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Scheduling, and Quality teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Coordinate and communicate with direct reports and support staff to maximize efficient operations.
• Ensure schedule execution across a three-shift operation and full resource utilization.
• Partner with Sales, Materials, Shipping/Receiving, R&D, and other departments on process improvements.
• Meet or exceed productivity, cost, OEE, quality, and uptime targets.
• Document and enforce company policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and develop Operations employees; conduct timely performance reviews and succession planning.
• Lead Six Sigma/Lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to strategic and tactical planning and financial performance management.
• Promote world-class manufacturing capabilities to customers and participate in sales initiatives.
• Support implementation of costing, bar coding, cycle counting, and other systems.
