Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Manager, Operations II to provide senior operational leadership for a large, complex manufacturing operation. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, workforce performance, capacity, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with Metals priorities.

In this role you will lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline teams, promote a culture of ownership, and apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to optimize processes and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering required; MBA and advanced operations/Lean credentials preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience, including responsibility for a large or complex operation.
• Experience leading and developing supervisors and other operational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient production.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline employees.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements; implement quality systems.
• Enforce safety policies to maintain a safe working environment and ensure environmental compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Manage labor, equipment, and materials to optimize plant performance and coordinate with maintenance.
• Create high-ownership culture with accountability and daily discipline across leadership levels.
• Lead structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis to reduce defects and COPQ.
• Champion Total Quality Management principles by embedding quality into processes.
• Track KPIs and communicate results to senior leadership; align cross-functional teams to business priorities.
