Job summary

Mars is hiring a Maintenance Leader for our Topeka, Kansas plant. You will lead a skilled maintenance team, supervise equipment breakdown repair, preventive maintenance, and the daily upkeep of plant utilities to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You’ll implement PM programs and drive asset reliability to meet safety, quality, and cost targets. The role requires strong technical leadership, experience in a TPM/Lean environment, and the ability to plan, organize, and coach staff.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical-related discipline or 10+ years in a technical field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical discipline preferred.
• 5-8 years in technical leadership within manufacturing/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a maintenance team and manage maintenance costs.
• Ensure safe, efficient maintenance work and direct staff.
• Set up PM systems, inspection routines, inventory control and scheduling.
• Lead asset-improvement projects and manage capital budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs in production areas.
• Lead the PM function and oversee modernization and improvements.
