Job summary
Mars Petcare is seeking a Maintenance Shift Manager for our Kansas City, MO plant. This full-time role leads a technical team on 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) with a 4 on/4 off schedule, focusing on reliability and safe operation of plant equipment.
You will drive PM programs, manage maintenance costs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, and production goals. A technical degree and proven leadership in manufacturing are required, with a strong TPM/Lean
Qualifications
- Associates degree in a technical discipline or 10+ years in a technical role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance team and manage downtime, PM, and costs.
- Lead safety, quality, and environmental goals in maintenance activities.
- Directly supervise maintenance staff.
- Establish PM systems, inspections, and schedules.
- Control maintenance expenditures per site budget.
- Lead asset improvement projects and reliability initiatives.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce costs.
