Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Reliability Technician for our state-of-the-art facility in Kansas City, MO. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support and leadership on the production floor.

You will be responsible for building the team's maintenance capabilities, troubleshooting equipment, and driving operational targets for safety, quality, and efficiency. This is an opportunity to use your technical expertise to directly impact our success.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Previous maintenance experience or formal technical education.
Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work rotating shifts.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in heat, cold, heights.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and repair routine electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform and document mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance using SAP, and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
Drive Improvement: Lead breakdown analysis and root-cause problem-solving to eliminate production losses; develop continuous improvement standards.
Coach & Develop: Train and mentor other technicians to enhance troubleshooting and repair skills, fostering technical excellence.
Champion Safety: Uphold plant safety and GMP requirements, including LOTO and Confined Space procedures.
