Job summary

Astra Foods, Inc is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to safeguard production equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting, with leadership responsibilities for a team of entry level and intermediate technicians.

1st shift start time is required. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, and welding tasks, use CMMS for work orders, read schematics,

Qualifications

Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
Background in industrial electrician work or related technical fields preferred.
Military experience in maintenance or technical roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, and mechanical parts.
Lead a team of entry level and intermediate technicians.
Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis techniques to identify root causes.
Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
Utilize CMMS to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
Repair or replace components involving high voltage or low voltage electrical systems following safety protocols.
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for complex mechanical and electrical systems.
