Job summary

Astra Foods in Aston Township, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair complex manufacturing equipment, lead a team of entry level and intermediate technicians, and support continuous improvement on 1st shift.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, experience with PLCs and industrial electrical systems, welding, HVAC/R troubleshooting, and proficiency with CMMS to document work orders and plan maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
Background in industrial electrician work or related technical fields preferred.
Military experience in maintenance or technical roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, and mechanical parts.
Lead a team of entry level and intermediate technicians.
Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis techniques to identify root causes.
Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
Utilize CMMS to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for complex mechanical and electrical systems.
