Job summary

Brook & Whittle Ltd. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical systems on manufacturing equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, CMMS use, and coordination with engineering and management to schedule repairs and improvements. Associates degree or 5 years industrial maintenance and willingness to learn are required; lifting up to 50 lbs and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

Requires an associate degree in a technical discipline or 5+ years in industrial maintenance.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation and other electronics.
Must be willing to learn and attend training as defined by management.
PC literacy and CMMS proficiency.
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment and procedures.
Basic welding skills are a plus.
Familiarity with OSHA and environmental regulations.
Good communication skills and ability to work a flexible schedule including shift work.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Performs hands-on maintenance tasks according to production priorities and repairs/ troubleshoot equipment.
Assists with repair and maintenance of the facility structure.
Supervises maintenance contractors when required.
Maintains a Maintenance Action Log by equipment for preventive maintenance baselines.
Participates in startup and shutdown activities; assists with task planning.
Works with vendors/OEM for parts pricing and repair recommendations.
Incorporates safe practices into maintenance work orders.
Maintains the maintenance department work area and tools.
Complies with health, safety and environmental regulations.
