Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Lead in Springfield, MO to guide daily maintenance, perform advanced troubleshooting, and support preventive programs. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Production Manager to keep equipment reliable and safe.

This hands-on leadership role requires reading blueprints, coordinating shifts, coaching technicians, and coordinating with vendors. A two-year technical degree and 3+ years of industrial repair experience are preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical degree preferred.
At least three years of experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
Reading blueprints, schematics, and maintenance literature in English.
Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, parts management, vendors, and a CMMS.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily maintenance assignments and priorities with the Production Manager.
Lead troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and control-system equipment.
Provide coaching and hands-on training to Maintenance Technicians and related partners.
Ensure safety, compliance, and proper documentation of maintenance activities.
Support shift handoffs and communicate risks and status to leadership.
