Job summary

AmerisourceBergen is seeking an Operational Maintenance Manager I in Montclair, CA to lead a maintenance team focused on preventive maintenance for facility equipment and material handling systems. You will manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while driving efficiency and uptime.

The role requires a BS in engineering plus 5+ years in automated warehouse environments, with strong PLC, CAD, and MHE system knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Facilities/Plant Management preferred with extensive experience in start up and troubleshooting of an automated distribution warehouse.
• Experience in developing preventive maintenance programs, disaster planning, and knowledge of cooling systems, generators, air handling units and rooftop AC units.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a small team of maintenance staff and directs, supervises, and develops the team.
• Schedules and executes preventive maintenance for building and material handling equipment (MHE).
• Diagnoses errors and repairs facility equipment to support operations.
• Monitors processes to improve productivity, efficiency and costs.
• Configures, maintains, and upgrades MHE control systems including PLCs.
• Develops annual facility operating budgets and manages contracts with vendors.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies and DEA regulations.
• Keeps records of maintenance tasks, spare parts, and tools.
• On-call for downtime events and after-hours support.
