Job summary

The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is hiring a Maintenance Lead for the 2nd shift in a fast-paced production environment. You will assist with equipment assembly, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot production equipment under the Maintenance Manager's guidance.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience and strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills. The role requires reading manuals and blueprints, and familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
• Knowledgeable with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals and blueprints.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Preferred experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Two-year associate degree in electromechanical systems preferred.
• Robotics and control experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance and coordinates with production in the absence of Manager or Supervisor.
• Train and monitor maintenance employees on shift to ensure proper production, GMPs and safety guidelines.
• Complete special projects with efficiency and accuracy.
• Make decisions and react quickly to problems.
• Lead and direct maintenance staff in the plant.
• Prepare reports and paperwork daily.
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety procedures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Coordinate with outside contractors as needed.
• Ensure OSHA and GMP compliance.
• Work independently and with others to uphold quality and teamwork.
