Job summary

The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is seeking a Controls Technician for the 2nd shift. You will lead installation, programming, and repair of robotics and automated packaging equipment, supporting production and maintenance teams with innovative solutions.

You will mentor technicians, develop maintenance plans, and contribute to emergency repair strategies. Some travel to other Hershey plants may be required; compensation includes a sign-on and 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years with Allen Bradley PLCs and general automation experience.
• 3+ years with ABB and/or Fanuc robotics and automation conveyors.
• 5+ years reading blueprints and schematics; 4+ years of related apprenticeship/experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of robotics and automated packaging equipment.
• Support production and maintenance teams by designing automation solutions.
• Train and mentor other technicians and operators.
• Develop maintenance/work plans and emergency repair strategies.
