Job summary

The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee on-shift maintenance in a fast-paced production environment. You will work under the Maintenance Manager to plan preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with production on schedule and safety.

This hourly role offers an afternoon shift, potential overtime, a $2000 sign-on bonus, and benefits from day one, including health insurance and a 401(k) match with company stock programs.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance staff on shift.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read manuals and blueprints.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems beneficial.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Preference for electromechanical degree and robotics exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance and coordinates with production in the absence of Manager or Supervisor.
• Train and monitor all maintenance employees on shift to ensure proper GMPs and safety guidelines.
• Complete special projects with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and perform tests.
• Lead maintenance team and manage contractor work as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment on a scheduled basis.
