Job summary

The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the D shift (nights). Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, installation of new machinery, and ensuring food safety standards.

Rotate on a 12-hour schedule (5pm–5am) Wed–Sat with a $2 shift differential. Qualified applicants will have at least 4 years of machine maintenance experience, 2 years of Fanuc robot exposure, and skills in welding or industrial electrical

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education.
• Familiar with SQF, FDA, and OSHA requirements.
• 4 years machine maintenance experience.
• 2 years of Fanuc robot experience.
• Ability to Mig and/or Tig Weld and/or Industrial electrician (480V systems).

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate maintenance records.
• Installation of new production machinery.
• Complete all daily, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities with regards to food safety and reduction of equipment failures.
• Troubleshoots machines and line control schemes and performs repairs with timely follow-up.
• Contributes to updates of PM procedures and prioritizes maintenance jobs.
• Supervises work of outside contractors.
• Follows SQF and safety requirements and keeps tools and area clean.
• Identifies problems by observation and uses testing instruments.
