Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Bethlehem, PA. You will maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure smooth operations in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machines, plus troubleshooting 3‑phase motors, pneumatics, VFDs, HMIs and PLCs. Strong mechanical/electrical skills and ability to work overtime required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems efficiently and perform repairs.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment; perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
• Identify and locate problems by observing equipment in operation and using measuring instruments.
• Control downtime by implementing preventive maintenance and informing production teams.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine tools and shop equipment.
• Maintain safety and organization; document actions and needs for teams.
• Troubleshoot/reapir 3‑phase motors and pneumatics; work with VFDs, HMIs, and PLC controls.
