Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Taunton, MA seeks a Maintenance Lead to act as the senior technical resource in the Maintenance Department. You will provide hands-on leadership for technicians, participate in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance, and drive daily task coordination.

You will support continuous improvement, ensure safety and GMP compliance, and assist in achieving department goals while serving as acting leader when the supervisor is unavailable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing or regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of equipment and facility systems.
• Assign and coordinate daily maintenance activities among technicians.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to maintenance personnel.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation issues.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Maintain safety, GMP, food safety, and company policies compliance.
• Oversee contractor work and maintenance projects as assigned.
• Communicate equipment status and maintenance needs to production and management teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Act as department leader in absence of Maintenance Supervisor when assigned.

Summary

The Maintenance Lead serves as the senior technical resource within the Maintenance Department, providing hands‑on leadership and guidance to maintenance technicians while actively participating in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities. The Maintenance Lead coordinates daily maintenance tasks, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and assists the Maintenance Supervisor in achieving departmental goals.
