Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is seeking a Maintenance Lead to join our client’s team in Melrose Park, IL. This role leads the Maintenance Department, guiding technicians, scheduling preventive tasks, and ensuring safety across facility operations. A direct hire with benefits is offered, along with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

You will support the supervisor, drive continuous improvement, mentor staff, and manage maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and keep equipment running reliably.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production and facility equipment.
• Proficiency in electrical equipment involving DC and AC voltages and control devices such as sensors and switches.
• Ability to operate welding and metalworking equipment for fabrication and repairs.
• Strong communication skills and safety-conscious mindset.
• Physical ability to climb, crawl, bend, lift 25–50 lbs, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Supervisor in coordinating and executing maintenance activities across the facility.
• Lead, train, and support maintenance team members to ensure efficient operations and safety compliance.
• Support preventative maintenance planning and recommend permanent solutions to recurring equipment issues.
• Communicate critical maintenance situations and elevate concerns when guidance or support is needed.
• Utilize tools and equipment to maintain, inspect, adjust, repair, and replace machinery and facility equipment.
