Job summary

LHH is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Leader for heavy industrial operations in Kentucky. You will oversee equipment reliability, supervise maintenance staff, and coordinate daily repair activities in a demanding production environment.

Responsibilities include leading troubleshooting for diesel-powered equipment, ensuring safety and compliance, and collaborating with operations to optimize resources and maintenance spending. Occasional off-shift or emergency coverage may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
  • Several years of maintenance experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, processing, construction, or similar environments.
  • Prior leadership experience overseeing a maintenance team.
  • Working knowledge of diesel-powered equipment and hydraulics.

About the Opportunity

Our partner is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Leader to oversee equipment reliability, maintenance personnel, and daily repair activities within a demanding production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Reliability & Maintenance

  • Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts for heavy mobile equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Coordinate corrective maintenance activities.
  • Support major repairs and rebuilds

Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor a team of skilled maintenance professionals.
  • Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Safety

  • Champion a strong safety culture throughout maintenance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Participate in incident investigations, audits, and corrective action plans.

Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate resources
  • Monitor maintenance expenditures.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders.
