Job summary

PrideStaff, Inc. is seeking a proactive Maintenance Helper to support the Facilities Manager. This hands-on role covers light construction, demolition, general maintenance, and grounds care to keep the factory, offices, and grounds safe and functional.

You will assist with demolition projects, relocate heavy items, and help maintain a clean, organized facility. The schedule runs 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with compensation up to $18–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in a labor‑intensive role or maintenance is beneficial.
• Capable of heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic working knowledge of common hand tools and power equipment (drills, hammers).
• Available to start ASAP and work 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist with demolition and cleanup in offices, extensions, restrooms, and breakrooms.
• Relocate heavy items including machinery and office furniture as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility (factory, storage, yard).
• Perform basic grounds maintenance and exterior upkeep; use landscaping tools safely.
• Assist with light construction and repairs, including minor framing and racks.

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Helper to provide essential support to our Facilities Manager. This role is highly hands‑on and involves a mix of light construction, demolition, physical labor, and general maintenance duties to ensure our factory, offices, and grounds are kept safe and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Support & Labor:
Demolition & Cleanup: Assist with demolition projects in various areas, including offices, building extensions, restrooms, and breakrooms. Relocation: Physically move and relocate heavy items, including factory machinery and office furniture, as needed for floor plan changes or repairs. Organization & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment across the entire facility (factory floor, storage areas, and yard).

Grounds & Exterior Maintenance:
Yard Work: Perform basic grounds maintenance , including raking, shoveling, general cleanup, and maintaining the appearance of parking lots and building fronts. Tool Use: Proficiently and safely use outside equipment such as rakes, shovels, and landscaping tools.

Light Construction & Repairs:
Building Support: Assist with minor construction projects, such as framing new office walls, installing production racks, and general assembly. Utilities & Electrical: Assist with pulling network/data cables and performing light electrical duties, such as changing light bulbs and basic fixture maintenance. Tool Use: Safely and proficiently use internal hand and power tools, including hammers, drills, and basic power equipment.

Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience in a labor‑intensive role, construction, maintenance, or general groundskeeping is highly beneficial. Physical Ability: Must be capable of performing demanding physical labor, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Tool Skills: Basic working knowledge of common hand tools and power equipment (drills, hammers, landscaping tools). Work Ethic: Reliable, self‑motivated, and willing to take direction while showing initiative on maintenance tasks. Schedule: Must be available to start ASAP and adhere to the 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM schedule.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
