The Greater BoerneChamber of Commerce is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support our facility's upkeep. If you enjoy hands-on work and solving problems, this is a great opportunity to learn and grow.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with preventative tasks, and support the Maintenance Supervisor on projects. Our team values reliability, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• General maintenance, handyman, construction, landscaping, or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools; read/write basic English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general building maintenance and repairs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and facility.
• Help with minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting projects.
• Assist with equipment moves, assembly, and facility improvement projects.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, landscaping, or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and good attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders when needed.
• Ability to read, write, and speak basic English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
