Job summary

OW Lee is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to help keep our manufacturing facility in Comfort, TX running smoothly. You’ll support the Maintenance Department with repair, upkeep, and preventive tasks, learning on the job in a hands-on environment.

The ideal candidate has general maintenance or handyman experience or is mechanically inclined, with a strong work ethic and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• General maintenance/handyman experience is a plus, but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Dependable with strong work ethic and good attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Ability to read, write, and speak basic English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general building maintenance and repairs.

This position performs routine maintenance tasks, helps with preventative maintenance, and assists the Maintenance Supervisor with projects as needed.
