Job summary

Genesis Administrative Services LLC in Gallup, NM is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep a nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and well-presented. You will perform repairs, service HVAC filters, move supplies, and may assume supervisor duties when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry. Benefits include health/dental/vision and more as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
