Job summary

Genesis Beckley is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and presentable while supporting a caring, patient-centered environment.

You will perform simple repairs, replace HVAC filters, stock supplies, and may take on supervisor duties in absence, with benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, and flexible pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic wiring knowledge.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• In the absence of the maintenance supervisor, assume their responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
