Job summary

Genesiscareers in Falmouth, Maine, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and surrounding grounds clean, safe, and orderly while preserving a pleasing appearance.

You will perform minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds and electrical equipment, and you will change HVAC filters, lift and stock supplies, and sometimes take on Maintenance supervisor duties in absence of the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers

• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
