Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly. The role includes upkeep of facilities and assisting with various maintenance tasks to ensure a pleasing appearance.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with some weekend on duty, offering a wage of $18–$20 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, gerI-chairs and electrical equipment.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
