Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking a Weekend Maintenance Helper to support our community facilities. The role is part-time on weekends with Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 16 hours per week.

You will perform general maintenance, assist with daily facility needs, and transport laundry using a box truck. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and able to handle a variety of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age due to the position’s requirement to operate a box truck.

Schedule:

Responsibilities

Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.

• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri‑chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
