Job summary

Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Mount Ascutney Resort in Brownsville, VT is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to assist the Grounds Manager in leading a team responsible for resort grounds, villas and assets. The role includes training and supervising maintenance and landscape staff to ensure timely service and preventative maintenance.

The position emphasizes guest satisfaction, adherence to brand standards, and safe operation of equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a minimum of 4 years of driving experience.
• Meets company required motor vehicle policy standards.
• Demonstrates dedication to guest satisfaction.
• Maintains professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.
• Exhibits good judgement and decision-making.
• Maintains high level of accuracy and organization.
• Able to read, write, and follow SOPs.
• Strong communication with guests and staff.
• Able to operate maintenance and grounds machinery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise work assignments, response and problem resolution; provide technical support to maintenance and grounds personnel.
• Directs and assists maintenance techs and groundskeepers with maintenance of buildings, vehicles, and equipment.
• Coach staff on brand standards and procedures; make decisions per guidelines.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve upkeep and landscape concerns for villas and grounds.
• Implement and facilitate skills training for teams.
• Assist in controlling department budgetary expenditures.
• Perform other duties as needed by Manager of Facilities Ops or General Manager.
