Job summary

Progressive Directions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Maintenance & Fleet Technician to keep our vehicles safe and ready for use while supporting warehouse and facilities operations. The role involves inspecting vehicles, coordinating repairs, and maintaining records.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, at our Clarksville facility. Valid driver's license required; prior fleet maintenance or warehouse experience preferred; opportunities to contribute to daily operations and team goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled inspections of company vehicles and document the results.

• Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and help ensure vehicles are serviced on time.

• Coordinate repairs and service with the Maintenance Supervisor and outside vendors.
• Follow up on completed repairs and ensure vehicles are ready to return to service.

Progressive Directions, Inc. (PDI) is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance & Fleet Technician to help keep our company vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for use while also supporting our warehouse, facilities, and day-to-day operations.

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

This position is a good fit for someone who is mechanically inclined, organized, enjoys troubleshooting problems, and likes a job with variety. The Maintenance & Fleet Technician is responsible for inspecting company vehicles, identifying potential problems, coordinating needed repairs and service, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with facility and warehouse needs.

What You'll Do:

Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections

• Conduct scheduled inspections of company vehicles and document the results.
• Inspect vehicles for visible or potential mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and safety concerns.
• Troubleshoot basic vehicle issues and determine when outside repair services are needed.
• Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and help ensure vehicles are serviced on time.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and service schedules.
• Identify potential problems early to help reduce vehicle downtime and avoid more costly repairs.
• Coordinate repairs and service with the Maintenance Supervisor and outside vendors.
• Follow up on completed repairs and ensure vehicles are ready to return to service.
• Help ensure company vehicles meet PDI safety and operational requirements.

Warehouse & Facility Support

• Assist with general facility maintenance and minor repair needs.
• Support maintenance projects at PDI facilities as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area.
• Keep tools, equipment, and supplies properly stored and accounted for.
• Assist with equipment organization and the general upkeep of operational areas.

Operational Support

• Assist with moving personnel, equipment, and furniture as needed.
• Maintain clean work areas, warehouse spaces, and operational areas.
• Assist with workspace setup, relocation, and reconfiguration.
• Support the pickup and delivery of donations to and from the organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Basic knowledge and experience with routine vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Previous experience in fleet maintenance, vehicle service, or warehouse operations.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.

Employment Requirements

• Maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Successfully complete an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and remain eligible to drive for PDI.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
• Successfully complete required PDI orientation and any position-specific training.
• Comply with PDI safety, vehicle, and employment policies as well as applicable DDA requirements.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly stand and walk and frequently use their hands and arms to handle equipment and complete assigned work. The position may also require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must be able to:

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Perform duties requiring color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
