Dayton Freight Lines, located in Greenwood, Indiana, is seeking a dedicated technician to ensure the maintenance of equipment and service center operations. Candidates must be proficient in basic math, fluent in English, and able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services.
• Support the tire maintenance program.
• Perform service calls.
• Wash and fuel equipment.
• Perform other maintenance duties or assignments.
• Provide assistance to senior technicians.
• Lead the care and upkeep of the Maintenance Shop, grounds and all equipment and tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with DOT, EPA, OSHA and Company standards.
• Be proficient in paperwork and record keeping.
• Assure all materials, parts, service/shop supplies are maintained at proper levels.
• Effectively handle special assignments as directed.
• Maintain a quality hand tool inventory.
• Communicate professionally with operations and/or operators.
• Participate at a high level of teamwork.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a Service Center and Shop environment.
