Job summary
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community safe, clean, and well-functioning for residents and families. You will complete work orders, perform plumbing and electrical repairs, assist with painting, and support HVAC and mechanical systems maintenance while following safety protocols.
Ideal candidates will handle preventative maintenance, manage tools and inventory, and assist with make-ready tasks for suites.
Qualifications
- Experience performing basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
- Ability to follow safety standards and maintain equipment properly.
- Comfort with routine preventative maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
- Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
- Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
- Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
- Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
- Support carpet and floor care as needed
- Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
- Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
- Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
- Drive community vehicle as assigned
