Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Norwood, MA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant who will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning community for residents and staff. The role involves completing work orders, basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and supporting daily operations with a focus on safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
• You play a key role in safety, compliance, and day-to-day building operations.

Pay Range:

19.65 - 24.65
