Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Performance Leader to support our Mechanical Maintenance Team at the Palatka, Florida facility. You will lead a maintenance team, plan weekly schedules, and ensure safety and reliability across the equipment.

You will collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering leadership to develop short- and long-term strategies, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement in performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Leadership experience with direct reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with reliability concepts and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the mechanical maintenance team with strong leadership habits and best practices.
• Plan and manage weekly schedules for maintenance crafts from planned work.
• Prioritize safety work orders and PMs, manage resources and work orders.
• Investigate injuries and ensure RCA and incident reports are completed.
• Use cost-aware thinking to fill resource gaps and improve equipment reliability.
• Motivate hourly staff to improve individual and team performance.
• Collaborate with other MPLs to share resources across the mill.
