Job summary
Sonesta Hotels International Corporation in Miami is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support general repairs, preventive maintenance, painting, plumbing, and engineering tasks across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will troubleshoot equipment, follow safety protocols, maintain logs, and collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure guest comfort and smooth operations.

Qualifications
- Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities operations.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and upkeep.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine repairs safely.
- Strong communication and teamwork in a hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Support preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
- Respond to guest maintenance requests quickly to support satisfaction.
- Paint, patch, replace fixtures, and perform minor plumbing repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair hotel equipment and mechanical systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and logs.
- Report safety hazards and follow hotel safety procedures.
- Support renovation projects and collaborate with department teams.
